Rift Delve

Your powers, healing your party and PK mode

On this page: which abilities your character has, how to heal and shield a party member without typing their name, how to find a player with Track and how PK mode works.

Your abilities

Rift Delve has no magic words: every ability has its own name and icon, and you cast it from the action bar with a click or the slot’s key. They are all in the ability book (key B): the ones you have and the ones you are still missing, with the reason (level, tree branch…).

WhatHow manyHow you get them
Vocation abilities3Learned automatically when you level up (8 and 12). In the tree (N) you can raise their mastery: more power and, at the top rank, a shorter cooldown.
Subclass abilities5From level 20, in your subclass branch of the tree. The last one is the ultimate.
Utilities3For everyone: Track (level 8), Magic Rope (level 8) and Levitate (level 12).

When you learn a new ability, it goes to the first free slot of your bar by itself.

The Shaman chooses between Nature Shaman (heals over time, roots and a healing spirit) and Frost Shaman (slows, freezes, shields allies and hits areas). The full list with numbers is in Abilities.

Healing and shielding your party (no names)

Support heals and shields go to your chosen ally. You choose them like this:

KeyWhat it does
F1Chooses yourself.
F2 - F5Party member 1, 2, 3 or 4 (the order of the party frames).
Click a party member’s frameChooses them (also right click > “Choose as ally”).
Ctrl + TabThe next ally in sight (Ctrl + Shift + Tab, the previous one).
Alt + a slot’s keyCasts that ability on yourself, without changing your ally.
EscIf you are not attacking or following anyone, clears your chosen ally.

At the top, under the PK mode button, you always see who your support goes to (“Ally: Aria”). If you chose nobody, the heal goes to the most injured party member nearby, and if everyone is fine, to you. The first time that happens, the game explains it with a tip. If your ally is too far away, the heal goes to the most injured nearby and a message tells you.

Every key can be changed in Controls (F12) > Change keys, group “Supporting allies”.

Track: where is a player

Put Track on your bar and, when you use it, type the player’s name. The game tells you which way they are and about how many steps away, with an arrow on the screen. If they are on another floor or inside a dungeon it tells you too, and if they have a skull, it tells you its color.

PK mode

At the top center of the screen is the PK mode button (key F6):

ButtonWhat it means
Green shield - “PK mode: OFF” (safe mode)Your area abilities do not hurt players without a skull. This is what you want almost always.
Red skull - “PK mode: ON”You can attack anyone and your areas hurt every attackable player. Hurting someone without a skull gives you a white skull.

Like the classic MMO: between players damage is halved, heals are normal and crowd control (slow, roots, stun, frost prison) is short. After a control effect you are Steadfast for a few seconds: the next one lasts half as long and the third one does not land. You never hurt your party or your guild. Skulls and what happens when you die are in PvP and death.

Guide screenshots will be added once they are ready with the new art.
